Full ’Flower’ Moon will happen on May 10th, 2017 at 21:42:26 UT (17:42:26 EDT).
By the Native American Lakotas the Full Moon in May was also called ’Wojupiwi Wi’ – the ’Moon of Planting’ – as warmer weather made its way onto the prairies in this moon phase, and the pleasant temperatures meant it was time to plant.
Within the Vedic Lunar Mansion System, the Moon (Chandra) will be staying in ’Vishakha’. Vishakha is the 16th lunar mansion of the Jyotish Zodiac, spanning from 20°00′ in Tula (Libra) to 3°20′ in Vrishchika (Scorpio), ruled by Indra and Agni, representing the powers of heat and lightning in the atmosphere, it is considered as the “Nakshatra of Purpose” having the symbol of a leaf-decked triumphal gate.
By some traditional interpretations, Vishakha does not give immediate results but perhaps greater long term gains. Indra and Agni here are related to agriculture showing the ripening effect of heat, rain and seasonal changes.
Harmonically, the Moon in Vishaka indicates a person with intelligence of the highest order who speaks or writes convincingly, of bright appearance, attracting a crowd, bent to leadership, religious, truthful, politically inclined, humanitarian. Purposeful, goal oriented, ambitious, competitive, opinionated, forceful, determined and persistent. With strongly disharmonic aspects: aggressive, dictatorial, losing the wary by pushing their agendas too strongly, quarrelsome personality, issues with suppressed anger and frustration, putting fingers on many pies, envious and covetous of others’ success, uncontrollable sexual appetite, betray and disappointment in marriage, infidelity. >>> More Info
