Venus enters tropical Aquarius on December 7th, 2016 at 14:51:01 UT (09:51:01 EST) and will stay there until January 3rd, 2017.
Venus in Aquarius indicates uncompromising sincerity and high Intuition. The natives with Aquarius-Venus follow their own ideals and inspirations, refusing to be bound by the usual restrictive rules; for these ideals – resulting from pure Uranian qualities – they may act in the most unexpected manner, with startling suddenness to an outside observer, disregarding conventions. They are deeply interested in metaphysics – not with a strange detachment, but always adding personal elements to their approaches – moreover, they are firm believers in the theories of soul-mates, occult affinities, spiritual friendly relations etc. Finding pleasure in the twist of conventional thinking and dogmas, they are generally fond of the black humour, sarcasm and irony. In the case of an afflicted Aquarius-Venus, the natives can become impatient, hypersensitive, provocative, affecting originality.
To wholly understand the principle and the ’agency’ of this Aquarius-Venus, we should mention an analogy between Astrology and Tarot. The seventeenth Major Arcana card in the traditional Tarot decks is called ’The Star’. By the general depiction, a naked woman kneels by the water; above her head stars shine out. She holds (originally) two jugs; from one jug she pours a liquid into the water, from the other jug she pours a liquid onto the land (or from both she pours this liquid into the water, though it may occur in the recent depictions that she has only one jug). She is the Aquarius-Venus being able on her own to transmit the pure astral (ie. spiritual) influences into the human world (which is often represented as a river, ’stream’ or ’current’ – cf. the Buddhistic concept called ’Santana’). She is essentially identical with Hapi, the Ancient Egypian god of the annual flooding of the Nile. Without the spiritual fertility and pureness of this Celestial Fountain, ‘The Empress’ – the third Major Arcana card in traditional Tarot decks, in analogy with the Leo-Venus – is unable to ’legally rule’, unable to adequately create and extend the diverse Forms of her Empire.
As Mars also stays in the tropical Aquarius now, it’s a good time to re-evaluate habits, change ’muscle-bound’ attitudes, renounce some addictions and so on… More Astro Info
