On March 8th or 9th (depending on your time zone) the new SuperMoon swings right in front of the Sun to totally block out the solar disk. This eclipse will occur in the tropical ♓ (i. e. constellational ♒). The path of totality starts at sunrise near Sumatra (Indonesia), then goes eastward across the Indian and Pacific Oceans; it ends over Hawaii at sunset. A partially eclipsed Sun will be observable in Eastern India, China, Indochina, Japan, Alaska, Northern and Central Australia.
